Optional usage measurement
We use anonymous click and return-visit statistics to improve Get GoodSort. Your choice is saved in this browser and resets if you clear site data.
Get GoodSort is a registered business name, ABN 15 881 995 490. This policy explains how we handle information when you use getgoodsort.com, sign up for alerts, use our public API or MCP tools, or contact us.
We never sell, rent, license, syndicate or disclose identifiable subscriber information—including email, provider, price, plan timing, preferences or derived switching intent—to providers, affiliate networks, advertisers, brokers or anyone else for their own purposes.
Information we use
- Alerts: Your email address, current provider and speed tier; any approximate price or plan-start month/year you provide; your chosen alerts and thresholds; and consent, delivery and unsubscribe records. Your estimates are not provider-confirmed facts. We use this information to send and manage the alerts you request.
- Optional alert click memory: If you enable “Remember plans I check out”, we record which plan you opened from an alert and when, for no more than 90 days. This may prompt a later “Did you switch?” question. A click does not mean you switched; we update your monitored plan only if you tell us. You can turn this feature off. We do not link ordinary browsing to your alert identity or pass it to a provider.
- Feedback and contact: The category, message and optional reply email you submit, plus the public page path, or the contents of emails you send us. We use these to investigate and reply. Feedback does not enroll you in alerts or marketing. Please avoid including passwords or account details.
- Site use and security: Cloudflare Web Analytics provides aggregate traffic and performance measures, such as page views, broad referral, country, device and browser information. We do not use it for advertising profiles. Hosting and network services may process IP address, browser and request information to deliver, secure and troubleshoot the site. Cloudflare Turnstile checks public alert and feedback forms for automated abuse; Cloudflare processes browser and network signals for that check, and Get GoodSort sends the challenge response to Cloudflare for validation.
- Consumer provider-link clicks: When you deliberately follow a Get GoodSort plan link to a provider or approved affiliate destination, Get GoodSort may record an aggregate daily click count by provider, NBN speed tier, public plan ID and destination type. We keep up to 24 calendar months of anonymous daily summaries and older coarse monthly summaries for up to five years total. Monthly summaries omit plan identity. Older detail is compacted or expired during operational maintenance; an offline service cannot run cleanup. This feature stores no individual click history, identity, email, IP address, cookie, session identifier, referrer, browser/user-agent details or raw link query. Automated previews are not intended to count, but counts can include repeat visits or automated interactions, so they do not establish purchases, signups or switches. Provider-outreach attribution and optional subscriber alert-click memory remain separate.
- Provider outreach attribution: Links that Get GoodSort sends to internet providers may include visible UTM parameters identifying the provider and outreach campaign. When such a provider-page link is loaded, Get GoodSort stores only aggregate visit counts plus the first and most recent visit time for that provider, campaign and landing page. This feature does not store the recipient's name or email address, cookies, IP address, browser/user-agent details or referrer, and it is not used for advertising profiles or consumer rankings. Ordinary hosting and network processing described above still applies to delivering and securing the request.
- AI, MCP and API requests: If you or an AI assistant connects to Get GoodSort's public MCP server or API, Get GoodSort receives only the bounded tool or API parameters sent to perform that request, plus ordinary network and request information needed to deliver, secure and rate-limit the service. Get GoodSort's public machine tools do not request or access Claude memory, chat history, conversation summaries, uploaded files or unrelated conversation content. Machine telemetry records aggregate categorical measurements such as interface and operation, outcome, result-count and freshness categories, latency and response-size buckets, and coarse client class; it does not log MCP or API tool arguments or conversation text.
- Browser preference: Your light or dark mode choice and any custom generated colour palette are stored only in your browser. If you select a photo to create a palette, the image is processed locally in your browser and is not uploaded to or stored by Get GoodSort.
Usage measurement details
For comparison visits where measurement has not been turned off, your browser creates a random identifier for the current tab session. Get GoodSort receives a schema version, that temporary identifier, an event sequence, and an on-site activity signal or the public plan-link path you intend to open. When our expanded optional measurement is enabled, it also receives an initial broad referral category, an approved public landing-page path, bounded comparison-control counts and short active-time signals. The browser classifies the referrer locally and discards its full address; only Google-referred, Reddit-referred, other-referred, direct/unknown or a public provider-outreach category is sent. A Google referral is not proof of organic search. We resolve provider and tier from our current published plans. We do not include email addresses, subscriber tokens, IP addresses, browser/user-agent details, full referrer addresses, browser search terms, query strings or a persistent visitor ID in these samples, and never join them to alerts or provider outreach.
The temporary identifier and bounded state live in the current browser tab and server memory only. They expire after 30 minutes without observed activity, or six hours maximum, and disappear on restart. Completed anonymous daily totals survive deployments for up to 24 calendar months; older coarse monthly totals last up to five years total and omit intended provider/tier groups. We also keep aggregate incomplete-session and measurement-gap counts. Expanded acquisition and active-use summaries begin only when that measurement is enabled; earlier visits remain unknown for those fields. Active-use estimates count only visible periods with recent activity, pause in hidden or idle tabs, and are retained as broad time bands rather than individual durations. An open tab or the idle timeout is not time spent reading. We do not permanently store individual sessions, identifiers or browsing sequences. Your usage preference is saved locally on your device; it is not an identifier. You can withdraw it here at any time, which stops new sample events and clears the current browser tab identifier. Already anonymised totals cannot be attributed back to you.
The private operational readout shows completed measurable sessions with zero, one or multiple intended plan-link actions and any subsequent observed browsing. Intended actions are not confirmed provider visits; no later activity observed is not evidence of a purchase, signup, switch or commission. Active sessions, storage or network failures, visitors who opt out, Admin operators, automated previews and browser limitations affect coverage. Sample provider/tier groups smaller than five completed sessions are not displayed. Expanded referral, landing-page and active-use breakdowns wait at least 48 hours after the reporting day closes. We withhold the whole affected breakdown when small groups could be recovered from totals or comparisons; no individual browsing history or cross-category visitor profile is retained. Monthly expanded summaries omit those detailed groups. These aggregates remain private to authenticated Get GoodSort Admin and authorized operational reporting. Backups use our existing separate operational storage; restored records are subject to the same retention rules. This feature does not send analytics to advertising networks.
Aggregate search and traffic reports
Get GoodSort may privately save aggregate reports from Google Search Console and Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand search discovery and site use over time. Daily reports are retained for up to 24 calendar months; any supported coarse monthly totals are retained for up to five years total. These reports remain separate from subscriber records and our browser-session measurements. We do not import visitor identities, individual browsing histories, IP addresses or full referrer URLs. Search-query breakdowns are restricted to generic broadband terms and minimum aggregate sample sizes; unsafe or small groups are withheld. Traffic reports exclude bots and Admin-prefixed paths when queried. This filtering does not establish that older activity was never collected by Cloudflare, or identify and exclude operators visiting public pages. Source sampling, missing data and differing measurement boundaries limit comparisons; a search click or visit is not a purchase.
Email and your choices
Alerts require your signup and email confirmation. We record consent, identify Get GoodSort as sender and provide a working unsubscribe in alert emails. You can change your alert preferences or unsubscribe at any time; unsubscribe stops all alerts to that address. We honour opt-outs within five working days and keep the minimum suppression record needed to avoid sending again.
Who processes information
Resend processes subscriber details, preferences, consent, email delivery and suppression records, and feedback sent through the form, to operate Get GoodSort's email service. Railway hosts the application. Cloudflare provides network services, Web Analytics and Turnstile. Pages load Google Fonts. If you use Get GoodSort through an AI assistant or connector, that provider separately processes your conversation and connector activity under its own terms; Get GoodSort receives only the bounded machine request described above. These providers may process information outside Australia; we do not promise Australian-only storage or processing. We may use aggregate or de-identified statistics only where people or small groups cannot reasonably be identified.
Retention, access and security
We keep active subscriber information while needed for alerts, correspondence as reasonably needed, and necessary consent, suppression and security records after unsubscribe. Optional alert click memory lasts no more than 90 days. We restrict access and take reasonable steps to secure information. If a breach occurs, we will investigate and notify affected people and the OAIC where required.
To access, correct or request deletion of your information, email [email protected]. We may need to verify the request. We may retain the minimum suppression information needed to respect an unsubscribe.
